We aim to deliver the highest levels of hygiene and safety at our events, in order to provide our community reassurance and confidence that they are participating in a safe environment.

Please note that all restrictions and requirements are subject to change at any time to best protect the health and safety of all of its audiences in accordance with government guidelines and legal allowances. Please refer back to this page often for current guidelines.

Venue Health & Safety Protocols

As we move towards bringing live events back to our conference at Inn at Laurel Point, our highest priority is the safety of every attendees and member of our team. We have put in place a number of measures in compliance with orders from the Government of British Columbia, and we thank you in advance for your cooperation.

Return To Live Conferences
Beginning March 1, 2022, in-person events will be permitted up to 100% capacity and there is no general requirement for attendees to have received full COVID-19 vaccination.

There is no Provincial Health Officer order requiring events, services or businesses to check proof of vaccination.

Wearing masks in public indoor settings is not required by public health. Wearing a mask is a personal choice. Masks are encouraged indoors, but not required. It’s important that we respect the choices of people, businesses and one another.

Cashless Venue
The Passive House Canada Conference is a cash-free event that only accepts credit cards, for a safe and speedy check out. We no longer accept cash.

Physical Distancing
Please maintain a physical distance of 2 meters when possible including in queues inside and outside of the venue.

Venue Cleaning
Enhanced protocols have been instituted throughout the entire venue. Before and after each sessions, high touch areas including seats, handrails, concessions stands, restrooms, and merchandise stands, will be disinfected. Hand sanitizing dispensers will be located prominently throughout the venue.
