Marcel Studer

Econ Group Ltd

Marcel is a principal of Econ Group Ltd, a Vancouver based design-built construction company, he holds a Masters Degree in Architecture from the Federal Institute of Technology (ETH) in Zurich (Switzerland). Marcel has lived and worked in Canada for the last 16 years in his capacity as a designer, builder and most recently as a teacher of Passive House Canada’s Trades Person Course.

Since 2006 Marcel has been involved in various local Passive House projects covering design and construction while increasing his skills and knowledge in the fields of energy efficiency, building science and construction technology. He has been a board member of Passive House Canada since October 2014 holding the treasurer position.

Cillian Collin

Perkins+Will

Cillian Collins is a Senior Architect with Perkins+Will and a Certified Passive House Designer with over 15 years of experience across a variety of project types and scales, including Passive House projects in Canada, Ireland and the UK. He is Chair of the Passive House Canada Education Committee, playing a key role in curriculum development, teaching, and advocating for the Passive House standard in Canada.

Luiz Bezerra

Passive House Canada

Luiz is a Certified Passive House Designer and Civil Engineer with over 9 years of experience. He was the Project Manager for the first Certified Passive House in Latin America, located in his hometown of Natal in Brazil. In addition to his technical credentials, Luiz also has an MBA in Buildings Management and Construction Technology

Chris Petit

Passive House Canada

Chris provides technical assistance to members of Passive House Canada and municipalities across Canada with the PHC Technical Services team. As a member of several standards committees, Chris collaborates to improve energy efficiency standards and help make high performance building the norm. Chris is a Passive House consultant, tradesperson, trainer, and building certifier accredited by the Passive House Institute. He has provided design support and energy modeling services since 2008 with the Center for Sustainable Building Research, Clean Energy Coalition, Regenerative Design, and CertiPHIers Cooperative.

Dan Gronross

Axiom Builders

With over 15 years of experience in the Building Envelope Consultant field, Dan changed career paths and joined the Team at Axiom Builders in Summer 2021. Dan’s focus on design and construction of durable and efficient buildings which will help Axiom navigate the changes in our climate, both locally and aboard. Dan brings local experience with Passive House projects and as a member of the Program Committee since 2019.
